Dodge Scat Packages and Mopar Team Up To Impress at SEMA

SEMA stands for Specialty Equipment Market Association.  It is a show that is held every year in Las Vegas.  Dodge revealed its’ Scat Package Stage Kits at the show this year.  These kits enhance the performance of the Charger and Challenger that have the 5.7 liter V8 and the Dart with the turbocharged 2.4 liter inline four cylinder engine.  They use Mopar performance parts to increase engine output.

Stage one comes with a cold air intake and cat black exhaust.  Stage two is a high performance camshaft.  Stage three is ported polished cylinder heads and performance headers.  These are all focused on increasing the power ratings and each stage comes with a unique engine management calibration to optimize the output.

The Dart upgrade is a little different.  They focus on engine, transmission, chassis and brake upgrades.  Stage one is cold air intake, short-throw shifter and slotted rotors with performance brake pads.  Stage two is a cat back exhaust system and an engine management calibration.  Stage three adds 13 inch vented brake discs in the front with four piston calipers, suspension with adjustable springs and struts and performance front and rear antiroll bars.

The critics feel that a stage three dart is a nice round package and would be a lot of fun on an autocross course, race track or twisty back road.
