100 Years of Dodge

Next year will mark the 100 year anniversary for Dodge.  That’s right, in 1914 John and Horace Dodge built the first Dodge automobile and they knew they were onto something special.  Dodge quickly became synonymous with hard work, passion and ingenious engineering.  But just because they have been around for a century doesn’t mean it is an “old” car company.  Dodge is one of the youngest and fastest growing car companies in the country. This year alone sales are up 38% through the month of October.

To commemorate this milestone, Dodge has unveiled the first of their Special-Edition vehicles.  They are the 2014 Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger.  It is quite possible they chose these two models because they hold a prominent place in the automakers past.

They will come with 20 inch polished five spoke wheels with dark contrasting Granite Crystal-colored pockets and center caps with a “100” emblem.  They will have a special High Octane Red paint which is exclusive to the special editions, but will also be available in Pitch Black, Bright White, Billet Silver, Granite Crystal, Ivory, Phantom Black, and Header Orange.  The front fenders will have a badge emblazoned with “Dodge Est. 1914” and the grilles will share the same color scheme as the wheels.

The interior is more of the same.  It will be have either Molten Red pictured above or Foundry Black Nappa leather with custom cloud overprint.  Leather wrapped surfaces are stitched together with brass colored stitching.  It will also have a die-cast “Dodge Est. 1914” circular badge on the front seatbacks and the floor mats will have an embroidered anniversary Logo.  These vehicles will also come with customized owners’ kits including a commemorative book chronicling 100 years of Dodge History.
